Workshop

Kidzone 2023

The two new designs for Kidzone have been selected and it's all go
from now on to manufacture all the bits and pieces for both toy designs.
It is as always a gigantic task to manufacture thousands of items but
back in 2021 we managed to get it all done in time and I believe it can
be done this time around also.
Lots of members have already put plenty hours into the project on club days
and evenings and there also have been a number of working bees where
members could be seen working hard to get a great number of bits of wood
cut out, sanded and thousands of holes pre drilled .
A great hive of  activities for sure a big thank you to all members who are
involved and thanks also to Glenda who got everyone
a cuppa soup at one of the working bees and cheese rolls, well done !

loads of boxes full of bits

more bits

and more other bits

can't beat banana boxes for storage

and then all these pins needed sanding

hole drilling station

sanders and bandsaw crew

more bandsaw work on the small saw

careful cutting out

the big new sander got a workout

still going strong at 90 !

another hole drilling station

a two person job at the big sander

Let's hope that the children and their parent (s) will appreciate
how much work goes into the making of the parts and
also let's hope that this years Kidzone is as success full as
the  2021 one or even better maybe.
